A little about me: I was born in an Army hospital in Germany and lived on six different military bases before my family settled in West Springfield, Virginia. I graduated from West Springfield High School in 1982 and went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal (E-4). Afterward, I attended VCU and graduated with a B.S. in Economics in 1989. In 1990, I joined State Farm handling vehicle accident claims in the Vienna and McLean communities before moving into fire claims. One experience that shaped my career was working Hurricane Andrew claims in South Florida. I remember sitting outside a damaged agent's office helping customers receive assistance after the storm while the agent spent the day comforting and supporting her community. Seeing that commitment firsthand showed me the impact an agency can have during life's most difficult moments, and it inspired me to open my own agency in 1997. Today, I also hold the AIC and CLU professional designations and continue to draw on decades of claims and agency experience when helping my customers navigate their insurance needs.
My wife and I are proud parents of three grown, successful children and are now empty nesters who enjoy spending time with our Golden Retriever, Guinness. When I'm not in the office, you'll often find me reading, taking Guinness for a walk, or remembering the years I spent coaching my children's hockey teams.
